However, recent changes in San Diego’s housing density laws have unlocked new opportunities to creatively and quickly add naturally occurring affordable housing without public subsidies, particularly in underserved urban communities where it’s needed most. By focusing on small-scale urban in-fill sites, we can create livable and affordable communities.

California’s housing crisis is severe, with moderate and low income communities the most critically impacted.  Our focus is on the redevelopment of underutilized, often blighted, infill properties in urban areas, capitalizing on new, affordable and accessory dwelling unit projects. The City of San Diego’s programs enable us to build naturally occurring affordable housing economically and more quickly. This is core to our approach and to addressing San Diego’s most urgent housing problems.
